Last October we agreed as a Guild to support a Bag Buddy Swap. Those who chose to participate brought 5 fat quarters of their choice in an unmarked paper bag with a note including their name, mailing address, phone number and email address. Participation was entirely their choice. When they left the meeting they picked up a bag that wasn’t theirs and signed a sheet that indicated that they had chosen to participate in the Bag Buddy Swap. Between November 5 and May 4 they were to make something from the fabric in the bag and then bring that item to the May 4 meeting with the item and the original card in a gift bag.
At the meeting on May 4 distribution of the completed items to their owners was a wild and fanciful time as most people forgot what they had put into the bag for fat quarters.
